In the event of an emergency it’s important to be prepared. Below is a list of personal items to remove from your home in the event you are evacuated:
- Driver’s license
- Important legal documents
- Proof of insurance
- Passports
- Social security cards
- Birth certificates
- A list of personal contacts with their addresses and phone numbers
- Medications
- Medical information
- Photos & family heirlooms
- Water
- Non-perishable food
- Your pet’s paperwork for vaccinations and medical history
- Small amount of pet food and medication
- Pet carrier or transport items
- Personal toiletries
- An evacuation to-do list, placed on-top of your evacuation kit, that includes anything you need to pack as well as small home chores you need to complete before leaving such as shutting off utilities, etc.
